RIMC Coaching  in Lucknow

Applications are open for boys and girls seeking admission to Class VIII at Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, for the January 2024 term.

The entrance examination for the January 2025 term will take place on June 1, 2024, at designated centers across the country.

The examination will consist of Mathematics (09:30-11:00 hrs), General Knowledge (12:00-13:00 hrs), and English (14:30-16:30 hrs) on 03 June 2023.

We’ll communicate the interview date later.

Notably, candidates can answer the Mathematics and General Knowledge papers either in Hindi or English.

To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in each paper, including the interview; failing to achieve this will render them ineligible for admission.

Additionally, candidates should be between 11½ and 13 years of age as of 01 January 2023. Specifically, they should be born between 02 July 2012 and 01 January 2014.

The fee for the classroom course is ₹45,000 for one year, while the foundation batch fee is ₹80,000. New classroom batches for the RIMC Class VIII examination are scheduled to begin on January 10, 2024.

 RIMC Coaching in Lucknow- Admission Procedure

Approximately 25 cadets are admitted every six months. Candidates must be at least 11½ years old and must not be older than 13 on January 1 or July 1 of the term they join.

Admissions are made to Class VIII only. Candidates must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII from a recognized school at the time of joining.

Selection is based on performance in an All India Entrance Examination held twice a year. 

he examination includes a written test with papers in English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 Marks). Successful candidates then undergo a Viva Voce test worth 50 marks.

A. Written Examination
The written examination consists of three subjects: English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 Marks).

Candidates can answer the Mathematics and General Knowledge papers in either Hindi or English. To qualify, candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in each subject.

B. Viva Voce
The Viva Voce test, worth 50 marks, assesses a candidate’s intelligence, personality, and confidence. Candidates must score at least 50% to pass.

C. Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify the interview will undergo a medical examination at selected Military Hospitals.

Only those who are medically fit will qualify for selection and admission to the RIMC.

The medical examination is part of the selection process but does not guarantee final admission.
